The view of Edinburgh from Carlton Hill captures the city in a beautiful sunset with the Dugald Stewart Monument ever present in the foreground. Stephen has only a brief history with Edinburgh, the last drawing being 10 years previously. Spring is in the air

Stephen recreates a moment of a magnificent spring day on Pall Mall, capturing the rushing traffic in great detail, even down to the numberplates of passing black cabs. The sharpness of the midday lights are beautifully depicted by the contrast of pen and ink on paper. With the added touch of colour the scene blissfully comes to life. (May 2009)

Charity auctions lost artworks found in warehouse

Two early pictures by artist Stephen Wiltshire MBE are being auctioned on Friday after they were discovered by environmental charity The Green Standards Trust in their warehouse in Swindon. These pictures will be auctioned by The Cotswold Auction Company at The Bingham Hall, Cirencester on Friday 22nd May 10am. (May 2009)
