Bright future for talented Stephen

Stephens drawing on his talents - The Artist's Archive

The 19-year-old genius who as a child stunned the architectural world with his ability to draw buildings with accurate perspective and perfectly to scale has now been found to have a second talent.

The Londoner can sing at perfect pitch and replay tune, not for not, after one hearing.

Margaret Hewson, is mentor and agent, discovered the hidden talent two years ago:
'It was quite by accident. My daughter bought a synthesizer and she played a blues scale for him. She thought he might like it.'
When Stephen played the tune back Margaret was astonished.

Talent

Stephen started piano lessons and his teacher discovered that he has a natural talent for music which has been compared with that of Mozart. 'His music teacher says he has a beautiful voice,' says Margaret.

Now Stephen, who has published three books of his sketches, is going to have a go at playing with the Royal College of Music junior orchestra. He has trial with other instruments lined up. 'Yesterday he played the clarinet,' Margaret told The Voice. 'It was very squeaky but he imitates Benny Goodman. Perhaps he might like to play the sax.'
