Stephen's knowledge of classic American cars is encyclopaedic. His interest in the "comfortable and stylish boats of the road" started when he was seven and collecting models of them still remained an active hobby for him. For Stephen, highways are just as important part of cities as the crossings on the streets of New York. The inspiration for his drawing was only revealed recently during an interview with Verdens Gang in Norway. The scene resembles a car chase from the 1973 James Bond movie Live and let die, the most viewed broadcast film in the UK in history. add comment
