I watched your documentary on five last night and was moved to tears by your exceptional talent, your marvellous communication and social skills and your ever present smile. I work in a preschool and i am currently looking after a beautiful little boy who also has autism and after watching this documentary, no matter how difficult some days can be, it has helped me to see how I can and will help this little boy to the very best of my abilities. I hope one day to be able to visit your gallery in London. Stephen`s recent film has been shortlisted for the RADAR Media Award for factual programming. The ceremony will be held at Battersea Evolution in London on the 1st of December.

The Gallery will be open again tomorrow from 10:00

60 Minutes

This picture depicting the London skyline in fine detail was drawn after just one flight over the city and purely from memory. Stephen Wiltshire, who was diagnosed with autism at the age of three, memorised the appearance and position of hundreds of London`s buildings in exact scale during a helicopter ride along the Thames. Over the next five days, the 33-year-old drew the seven-square mile panorama, including landmarks such as the Swiss Re tower, and Canary Wharf, on a 13ft curving canvas. Auction at the ICA

Selected works will be on show at The Institute of Contemporary Arts in London hosted by Jools Holland on 6th of October 2008. Stephen`s drawing will then be auctioned off to raise funds for Autism Research Centre at Cambridge University.> MORE
